Overview

More than 25,000 art and architecture enthusiasts have visited the Museum Reinhard Ernst to date. On the first day alone, over 4,000 visitors flocked to explore the new museum.

More than 300 guided tours of the museum and its exhibitions have been conducted, attracting visitors from across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, and the USA. While most guests visit on weekends, even on weekdays, queues form at the entrance shortly before the museum opens.

Art collector and museum founder Reinhard Ernst is delighted with the success of the new museum: “My wife and I have long hoped for such a positive response to our project. We are thrilled by every single one of the many personal letters reaching us from visitors who enthusiastically share their impressions after their visit. Every piece of feedback also helps us improve our offerings.”

Dr Oliver Kornhoff, the museum’s director, is also thrilled about the remarkable start: “My team and I are overwhelmed by the great interest and positive feedback we have received on all channels since the opening. The Museum Reinhard Ernst not only showcases international masterpieces of abstraction since 1950, but the building itself is an architectural masterpiece. We are delighted that we can inspire so many visitors with what we have to offer.”
